Hi! We’re Nolan & Jamie Hong and we’re so honored that you would consider us for your family legacy video.
We’re married with two teenagers and two very spoiled dogs 🤍 We opened our business – Pop Creative Media – in 2016 with the primary focus of creating videos to support local nonprofits. Along the way we were asked to produce love stories for couples getting married, and we found that we had a knack for it.
Then in 2021 we filmed our first video biography. After the interview was completed, we both felt like we had found our calling. Since then we’ve been transitioning to make space in our business for family legacy videos, so we can use the skills we’ve acquired in our 20+ years in the industry to serve the families in our community.
Nolan has conducted hundreds of interviews for our video productions, his podcast, and during his time as a radio personality on 94.7 KUMU and 102.7 Da Bomb. He has honed his craft as an interviewer, using his warmth and curiosity to put people at ease and ask questions to draw out insightful details, so the stories captured are rich and layered. He’s also a professional actor, having appeared on Hawaii Five-0, Doogie Kameāloha and various local commercials.
Jamie graduated magna cum laude from Boston University with a degree in Film & Television, and has been working in the field of video production ever since. She received Telly Awards (an international award honoring excellence in video and television) for her work as a producer, director and editor. Her passion is for taking an interview that others might think is just rambling, and weaving it into a heartfelt, compelling and meaningful story.
